My parents with all their grandchildren. It's a little hard to get a good picture of that giggly crew. And yes, Levi is the only boy... on both sides, but he does the boy thing well by looking just like his grandpa. Someday I'll have to get a picture of my dad at the same age and post them side by side. It really is rather remarkable!
I think the kids spent half their California time on the trampoline. It was a place to jump, but also a place to lay and talk, play house and dolls, and simply enjoy being outside. Sadly, the majority of my pictures look something like the one above, someone's always just fallen over or is exceptionally blurry. I guess that's what I should expect with a bunch of highly active individuals!
One of the most requested events before going to California was "picking oranges". Not even my stories of heavy picking bags in the rain with ants crawling up my arms deterred them. Sadly my parents mandarins were all done by the time we got there, but a friend offered his navel trees for the experience. Thank you!
They really did all have a good time, Levi's just upset Mom stopped all the fun of picking by trying to take a group picture.
"Making messes is what Shaunas do best" my sisters used to sing when I still lived at home in California. Now that I'm living in Canada with my marvelous man and delightful daughters, my husband joins in the chorus. I love to learn and create. Sadly, many of the things I do involve messes and cleaning isn't my strong point! I started this blog as a way to keep far away family involved in our every day lives, but you're invited to join us if you don't mind the mess!
