I did it! I finally found a way to make gloves for the dress up box that doesn't cost a lot of time or money.
A couple of hand-me-down stretchy camisoles and about fifteen minutes and they were accomplished.
My Heidi finally has her wish and is ecstatic.
Hannah's pretty thrilled too.

At first I was going to say "PLEASE don't tell me you MADE those!"
ReplyDeleteBut I should have known better ;-D
You are such a wonderful, delightful, FUN momma!
Thanks 'Lene, maybe I should have explained that it took me almost a year from when Heidi first asked to when I finally discovered a way to do it simply! There was no way I was going to spend hours fitting little hands with finger gussets and thumb inserts only to see all my effort worn to shreds by exuberant usage. I discovered a garden glove tutorial that looked easy enough, then thought about it until I could tweak it for my purposes and when I was given camisoles I knew I would never wear, I knew exactly what to do with them. And there you have it, gloves for girlies!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed over and over again at your gift of sewing! God has definatly blessed you with it.
