Picking Oranges With Papa

Of all the activities Heidi dreamed of doing in California, picking mandarins was at the top of the list. "I want to pick oranges off the tree just like Momma used to do when she was a little girl" she said with some regularity before we left. Grandpa heard her request and valiantly worked at keeping the oranges from freezing through the cold snap that arrived just before we did. His efforts were greatly appreciated!
