While on a canoe trip yesterday, Hannah spouted forth a new word, and continued to use it in context. "Paddle" is now an official part of her vocabulary.
Canoe trips are great. Nice time for quiet reflection... Although, I am not sure that is quite as true with little ones along.
Hope all is well with you.
Our family has been down and out with somesort of cold/flu. Not fun. I seem to be the worse, of course.
My hubby has been wonderful. He's taken care of the rest of us for four days or so. He plans on going back to work tomorrow. I pray I am going to be able to take care of them while he is gone. :-P
I sure like it better when he is around. :-)
Anyhow, I hope your days are going well and that none of your family is sick.
Heather, I am praying for you! Karl says you must not be aquainted with our type of canoe rides to call them a time for quiet reflection. They are a bit more tame when the girls came with us, but when it's just the two of us, the more rapids the better! I used to be fairly nervous about that, but I'm learning to relax and enjoy more and more.
I love to see Hannah growing up...I only wish I could hear those words of hers! Someday soon I know I will be able to hear her on the phone...and hopefully in person!
"Making messes is what Shaunas do best" my sisters used to sing when I still lived at home in California. Now that I'm living in Canada with my marvelous man and delightful daughters, my husband joins in the chorus. I love to learn and create. Sadly, many of the things I do involve messes and cleaning isn't my strong point! I started this blog as a way to keep far away family involved in our every day lives, but you're invited to join us if you don't mind the mess!
