Tempera paint, slightly thinned. Old laundry and dish detergent containers. BIG piece of paper. Mom always used to put it on the fence for us, but we didn't think the electric fence would be the best for that, so we used the grass. A couple hours of fun and since Heidi decided she was painting the Jordan river and all the Israelites crossing into the promised land, some great time to discuss the Bible as well.
